Software, cloud, data and IT operations
IT and tech recruitment for Canadian companies
Good developers and engineers rarely apply to job ads. We find people who are already working, check their skills before you meet them, and handle the back-and-forth so your team keeps shipping.

Why these roles are hard to fill
Strong candidates are not looking
Most experienced developers have a job and ignore generic messages. Reaching them takes a specific pitch: the stack, the problem, the team and the pay range.
Titles mean different things
A "senior developer" at one company is a mid-level at another. We look at what people actually built, at what scale, and who they worked with.
Remote, hybrid or office
Many tech candidates will only move for remote or hybrid work. We agree the work arrangement with you up front so it does not kill an offer at the last step.
Long technical loops lose people
Four or five interview rounds over a month is where good candidates accept other offers. We help you design a shorter process that still tests the skills that matter.
How we screen candidates
Role intake
Stack, seniority, team, must-have versus nice-to-have skills, pay range and work arrangement.
Technical screen
A structured conversation about past projects and decisions, plus a review of code samples or portfolio where the candidate can share them.
Practical check, if you want one
A short task agreed with you. We advise against unpaid take-home work that runs longer than a couple of hours.
Shortlist with notes
For each person: what they built, why they want to move, notice period and salary expectations.
Hiring tech talent from abroad
- The Global Talent Stream of the Temporary Foreign Worker Program lets Canadian employers hire certain highly skilled tech workers, with a service standard of 10 business days for Labour Market Impact Assessment processing. Source
We focus on candidates already in Canada. If the right person needs a work permit, plan for the extra time and speak with a licensed immigration professional.
Fee and guarantee
| Item | Starting price |
|---|---|
| Professional and technical roles | 20% of first-year base salary |
| Replacement guarantee | 90 days, replacement search at no additional fee |
Prices in CAD before tax. Recruitment fees are a percentage of the hired person's first-year base salary. Exact terms are set in a written agreement before work starts.
Example: for a role with an $80,000 base salary, a 20% fee is $16,000. See pricing.
Common questions
Do you recruit contractors or only permanent staff?
Permanent hires. The fee is a percentage of first-year base salary. For short contracts a staffing agency that carries the contractor on its payroll is usually a better fit.
Can you hire developers outside our city?
Yes. We search across Canada, which helps for remote and hybrid roles. For office roles we focus on people who already live within commuting distance.
Do you run coding tests?
We screen on real past work and a structured technical conversation. If your team has its own test, we fit it into the process and keep it short.
