HR support without a full-time HR hire

HR outsourcing by monthly subscription

Most businesses with 10 to 100 people do not need a full-time HR manager, but they do need someone who knows the rules. Our subscription gives you an HR advisor who answers questions, writes the documents and helps with the hard conversations.

  • From $490 a month
  • Ontario, BC, Alberta and federal rules

What the subscription covers

HR questions, answered

Email or a quick video call when a manager is unsure what to do: overtime, vacation, a leave request, a sick note, a complaint.

Contracts and letters

Offer letters, employment contracts, warnings and termination letters drafted or reviewed before they go out.

Policies that match your province

Harassment, violence, disconnecting from work, electronic monitoring and other policies your size and province require.

Onboarding

A checklist and documents so each new hire starts properly and you have the records you need.

Discipline and difficult conversations

We help plan the conversation, prepare the documents and, on higher plans, join the meeting.

Performance reviews

A simple review cycle your managers will actually run.

Who it is for

Owners and managers of businesses with 10 to 200 employees who handle HR themselves, or who have an office manager covering it on top of their real job.

It also fits companies that have one HR generalist who needs a senior person to check decisions and help with the harder cases.

How it starts

  1. Free HR call

30 minutes on your team, your province and what is worrying you.

  2. HR check

We review your contracts, policies and records and list what is missing or risky.

  3. Fix the gaps first

The first month goes to the documents and policies that matter most.

  4. Ongoing support

After that, your plan covers questions and documents as they come up.

What we do not do

We do not run payroll and we do not become the legal employer of your staff, as a PEO does. Payroll stays with your provider. We are not a law firm: when a situation needs a lawyer, we tell you and help you brief one.

If you need to hire, our recruitment service works with the same team.

Common questions

Is there a long contract?

Plan terms, including how to change or cancel, are set out in a short written agreement before work starts.

What if we use more hours than the plan includes?

Extra time is billed at the consulting rate, from $150 an hour, only after you approve it.

Do you work with businesses outside Ontario?

Yes. Documents and advice follow the rules of the province where your employees work, or the Canada Labour Code if you are federally regulated.

How is this different from a PEO?

A PEO becomes a co-employer and usually runs payroll and benefits. We stay advisors: you stay the employer and keep your payroll and benefits providers.
