## How a search works

- **Intake call**: We agree on the role, must-have skills, pay range, work arrangement and what success looks like in the first year.
- **Search**: We approach people who fit, including those who are not applying to job ads, and screen them before you see anyone.
- **Shortlist**: You get a short list of screened candidates with notes on skills, motivation, notice period and salary expectations.
- **Interviews**: We schedule interviews, collect feedback from both sides and keep the process moving.
- **Offer and start**: We check references with consent, help with the offer and stay in touch until the person starts.
- **90-day guarantee**: If the person you hire through us leaves or is let go within 90 days of their start date, we run a replacement search for the same role at no additional fee.

Prices in CAD before tax. Recruitment fees are a percentage of the hired person's first-year base salary. Exact terms are set in a written agreement before work starts.

## What we do not recruit

Temporary, hourly and high-volume roles, such as warehouse, retail, cleaning or call-centre staff. A staffing agency that carries workers on its payroll is a better fit for those. We also do not recruit nurses or other regulated healthcare roles.

## Common questions

**What is the difference between a recruitment agency and a staffing agency?**

A recruitment agency finds permanent employees who join your payroll, for a one-time fee. A staffing agency supplies temporary workers who stay on the agency's payroll, for an hourly markup.

**Do you work on contingency or retainer?**

Professional searches are usually contingency: you pay when you hire. Executive searches are usually paid in stages. The terms are in the written agreement.

**Can you recruit across Canada?**
